One of the regrets I had when I studied abroad in Europe was not tagging along with a few of my friends when they made a trip out to Amsterdam. I had a few important exams that week and had to miss out on a great adventure, though I finally crossed it off my bucket-list a few months later!
We stopped by Amsterdam on our way to Greece, so we only had about a day and a half in this beautiful city, which we already knew was not enough time. Our days were spent exploring the different neighborhoods and canals, including the Jordann, Prinsengracht, and Herengracht. We stopped by plenty of cheese shops along the way, and checked out the Bloemenmarkt, which overflowed with tulips. We had hyped up Dutch desserts for the past few months now, so we were so excited to finally try everything from stroopwafels and fries, to traditional pancakes. I wish we planned to stay longer, but warmer weather and beautiful places await us.
I kept my outfits simple and girly, with a red, floral dress on the first day and cutout-shoulder top with white shorts and floral choker on the second. I love wearing reds and blush colors in the Spring and Summer because I think they look great with a tan. I’m also all about the cute yet comfortable look, so I kept accessories light and wore some of my favorite shoes for roaming.
And now for the more important stuff...
