We absolutely love spending time in Central Park because it is such a haven in the city, and a place where you can get away from the bustling streets of Manhattan. It's really the best area to people watch for hours or to enjoy a picnic with friends and family. From the beautiful Bow Bridge to the famous Belvedere Castle, there are so many things to do and places to explore! For our casual, summer look, we wanted to incorporate some of our favorite things: florals and pastels.
Mel: I first spotted this gorgeous top on a mannequin a month ago when I was window shopping back in Vienna, Austria. However, most sizes, including mine, were sold out and I hunted this shirt down for weeks. Jess and I would usually stop by a Zara store in every city we visited in France to see if it would be in stock. Fortunately, Jess found it during one of her last days in Nice after I left and actually bought it for me as a surprise birthday gift! (She is seriously one of the best friends a girl can ever ask for). I wanted the focus of my outfit to remain on this top, so I paired it with basic blue trousers and a pair of rather simple laser-cut, white wedges. The cut and print of top makes it so easy to style, whether it be with jeans or maybe mixing it with printed bottoms if you are feeling bold!
Jess: I absolutely love peplum tops, and this peplum romper is one of my new favorite pieces. It's so easy to throw on and not have to think about how to match anything since it's just one piece! Of course, a different skirt can be worn to change up the look, so it is also versatile. If you know anything about me, you know that I am pretty obsessed with headbands, and have always taken inspiration from Blair Waldorf's wardrobe. My headband collection has grown exponentially this past year, and this rosy, floral headband is one of my favorites for this season. Plus, a good headband is always a plus with hot weather to keep hair out of your face!
We added the Coke last minute since we were inspired by Selena Gomez's new Coke ad, and needed a cool drink on this hot afternoon!
