We can't even believe we're finally writing our last lookbook post for our Portugal series! When we first booked our tickets a few weeks after coming back from Japan in May, we were already daydreaming about all the beautiful beaches and cliffside views in October that were even more beautiful in person than we could ever imagine. Lagos was always one of those "Pinterest" locations for us, and getting to shoot here was as magical as the photos that we have captured.
Our first early evening in Lagos was spent exploring the western Algarve, and along this gorgeous coastline you will find Ponta da Piedade. What's interesting in our travels is that we spend so much time looking at inspiration photos before our trips that we sometimes find certain places underwhelming because they don't live up to our expectations. Ponta da Piedade knocked it out of the park, and we both had to take a moment to take in the beauty of the golden sandstone cliffs and turquoise blue waters. We spent the early evening walking around and exploring nooks and crannies as we descended further down the cliffs for better views. The next day, we came back and took a private boat tour to discover the sea caves and grottos. We highly recommend doing this or renting a paddleboat or a small fishing boat for an afternoon adventure. It truly is a breathtaking experience.
And with that, we would like to thank you so much for reading and following along our Portugal Diaries. We look forward to putting together a full Lisbon and Lagos Itinerary in the near future, but in the meantime, make sure you've checked out our entire lookbook series here. Every trip we take and blog post we create is truly a labor of love, and although we don't know when our next trip together will be (2018 is looking a bit packed for each of us right now), we hope to travel somewhere exciting and exotic again soon!
Until then,
Love Always,
Jess & Mel
