Penny & Dash x LOFT 2.0

There's no secret that I love to travel. In fact, my last few months of content chronicle my time in Cancun, Bolivian and Colorado, and it almost seems like I am perpetually on vacation. I actually get questioned a lot by my friends when I see them in person, most of them asking if I get unlimited vacation days from work or if I even have a job (for those who I haven't seen in a while). While I wish I had months of interrupted time to country hop, the reality is that I actually have a pretty demanding full-time job, and my life isn't always about flowy dresses by the ocean, llama selfies, and scenic hikes. Penny & Dash began in 2016 with a corporate aspect to it that I naturally gravitated toward posting less about ever since I took over the blog solo in January. It's not that I switched jobs or quit, but simply the fact that I had a lot of trips planned in early 2018 and I found more excitement at the time writing about my travel adventures!

I wrote a "Week in My Life" post just a few weeks ago talking about how I also travel for work as a consultant and what my routine was like for the first quarter of 2018. Since then, I have moved on to work on a new, 6-month long digital project in Boston, where I haven't been since I visited my current roommate back in 2013 when she went to Northeastern for undergrad. What I'm most excited about is actually being in this beautiful city in the Spring in Summer since that only times I have ever visited were in the dead of winter.

Warm city days gives me life and more inspiration when it comes to choosing business casual wear! While I haven't been showing it as much on social media, I am always picking out what blazer and what color dress pants I need to pack for the week. I'm so excited to partner up with LOFT again to show you a few of my top picks from some of their newest styles for the season. If you're interested in checking out P&D's first collaboration, check it out here! What I love about LOFT is that they have petite sizing and also carry size 00 and even XXS. Being 5'3, it's always been pretty difficult for me to find good fitting business casual wear, but I find myself able to fit LOFT's smallest petite sizing very well.

A pencil skirt and blouse is a classic business casual pairing that I wear at least once a week in the Spring and Summer to the office. I chose a textured wrap skirt instead of a traditional symmetrical, cotton pencil skirt and paired it with a light and airy, floral ruffle top. Both of these picks are very true to my style - classic but with a twist! I kept my shoes simple with a pair of pointed toe mules. I highly recommend checking out loft.com right now to shop their huge 40% off sale! There are some great bargains and unique pieces that you can rock to work (or not to work). Thanks again to LOFT and thank YOU for checking out this lookbook!

P.S. The notebook I am holding is the one I use for work everyday! "Life isn't about finding yourself. It's about creating yourself."
