Autumn Outfits to Rewear Again and Again

Every year, there's always those perfect two weeks in October when I wish I could just push PAUSE and enjoy the crisp air and foliage in Central Park (pumpkin spice latte in tow). This year, though, I was very close to missing it since I spent a lot of time in Florida during the week for work and then one of the last weekends in September visiting Fort Luaderdale and Miami. While I'm sad that Daylight Savings last weekend has shortened our days and taken away sunlight (aka those extra hours of great photo lighting), I am excited to live in cozy sweaters and break out my Canada Goose jacket again for the snowy season!

I spent the last two weeks in New York, which is the most time I have stayed in any 1 location for the last 10 months. Ever since my project ended and my weekly travel routine came to an end in October, it's been quite an adjustment to get back into living everyday life in the city. Part of me is still hesitant to grocery shop, and the other half is still highly addicted to oat milk lattes. When I'm not working from home in my PJs, you can usually find me at Limelight Fitness taking my favorite workout class, 30/60/90, an incredible high intensity interval training class I discovered through Classpass last year. I've taken about 20 classes with them so far, sometimes for 4-5 days in a row, and I never get sick of how great I feel after sweating it out. Not to mention, the studio is located in church that was converted into a gym so the whole vibe is pretty sick.

Working out is definitely not exclusive to the work week, so after I take my Saturday and Sunday morning classes, I'll put on some real clothes to go out to explore my beautiful city while it's still bearable to walk around without needing shelter (or a fire pit). It's getting chillier by the hour these days, but the foliage only gets better. Today, I'm sharing two of my fall looks from the past few weekends in my go-to spots for nature and people-watching. Cheers to a short, but beautiful Autumn and bring it on Winter!

Fall Look #1

Burgundy is always one of those colors that I've always gravitated toward, and last year I stocked up enough of it to last me quite a few lifetimes. I have everything from skirts and blouses to jackets and boots, and i still can't get enough! I spent a casual Saturday afternoon walking through Central Park, hoping to see some foliage, but only caught the beginning stages of the leaves changing. On this particular day, it was warm enough for me to pair my knee-high, suede leather boots with my favorite floral lace dress. This frock is a staple in my travel wardrobe since it's the perfect piece to dress up or down with either a blazer or cardigan for the office. Honestly, I added the fisherman cap to hide my swollen face from the facial I got earlier that day, but it also happened to complete the look pretty well! As a side note, I also tried to find a pile of ombré leaves to jump in for a cool shot, but gave up and went to get some Thai food for dinner instead. And that my friends, is a Saturday routine that I would never change.

Fall Look #2

I find myself in Chelsea/Meatpacking on average once a week, even though it's always a little bit out of the way and feels like I'm walking miles instead of avenues to get to the other side of town. On this particular day, I was on a mission to help Blake take some new LinkedIn headshots around town, and we found ourselves on the High Line near sunset to end our day. Ever since I purchased my white booties and wore them to my school's homecoming, I've been obsessed with wearing them because they elevate any look to the next level. I paired the boots with casual, army-green trousers, a high-neck lace blouse, and a faux chinchilla vest to keep warm.
