Japan's Famous Soufflé Pancake Café Comes to SoHo, NYC

Japan's Famous Soufflé Pancake Café, Flipper's, has finally arrived in NYC! Located in West SoHo, this 2 story restaurant can be found at the Northeast interaction of W Broadway and Grand Street. This will be the Japanese's chain's first located in North America, which is an exciting and welcome new additional to the brunch bunch in the Big Apple. It's grand opening is Friday, September 27th and the first 100 guests will receive a surprise gift!

Flipper's is known for its "miracle pancake", a soufflé pancake that I can only describe as light, airy and melts in your mouth. These pancakes are carefully baked without a mold for a whopping 15 minutes in order for it to rise and get the perfect texture. The café has a pretty expensive menu that ranges from it's classic soufflé pancakes to to traditional savory and sweet pancakes. They also serve a wide selection of drink favorites, like matcha boba and passion fruit green tea. All dishes are made from scratch with fresh ingredients, which includes both the miracle pancakes and the fresh made flavored creams (matcha, maple, strawberry).

I had the chance to visit Flipper's prior to it's grand opening, and was able to preview both the stunning 2,500 sq. foot café and sample some of their menu. The first floor is for grab-n-go, and the second floor has plenty of seating to accommodate guests for brunch. The space is contemporary and bright, and fits right into it's new SoHo home. After trying the pancakes and chicken and waffles, I already know what a hit this is going to be for the brunch crowd. I can't wait to come back and try everything else on the menu now!

If you are local to NYC or visiting from out of town, make sure to check out Flipper's next time you're in the mood for an an exotic and delicious treat!

Special thanks to the Flipper's team for the invitation to see this new gem before the public flocks over to give the incredible menu a try! For more information about Flipper’s NYC, please e-mail
