A city defined by its rich history of arts and music, Vienna draws millions of visitors every year. A trip here would absolutely be incomplete without going to a concert or an opera and since we haven't ever been to an opera before, we decided it would be fun to attend our first show while we were abroad. On a Friday night, we headed to the Vienna State Opera House to see a comic opera titled L'ELISIR D'AMORE (The Elixir of Love) which lasted for about 2 hours. It was definitely a learning experience for sure since the entire show is spoken in Italian and we are so glad that we had the opportunity to attend and visit one of the most famous and beautiful opera houses in Europe!
As excited as we were for the opera, we were equally as excited to dress up for it! We're both big fans of color, but for our outfits, we wanted to go with classic black and white. Mel has had this off the shoulder, ruffled dress in her closet for sometime now, waiting for an appropriate occasion to be worn. Her gold plated necklace with black accents is the perfect accessory since her neckline is so bare. Jess' halter skater skirt is classic and clean, so she decided on minimal accessories and chose lace up nude sandals.
And that is a wrap for Vienna (read our other Vienna posts here) If you've been following along, you know that we have had a best friend trip planned for some time now to properly end our Europe travels. Vienna is actually not part of that trip since it was a just pleasant surprise that our itineraries coincidentally put us in the same city during this week. We will continue to post about what we have been up to separately, before we come back for some very exciting posts together that we cannot wait to share with you! Stay tuned!
